Due to the change in restrictions we can now add more sessions to the current online timetable and bring some outdoor group classes. We will begin with 2 classes starting from Saturday 16th May at 8:15AM & 9:00AM and numbers will be capped at 10 people per class so it is first in best dressed with booking on the APP. Push For Better July 2019 Getting involved in The Push-Up Challenge is super simple. 8 - 28th July 2019 Join your mates and thousands of others in each completing: 3,128 push-ups over 21 days Keep track of how you and your friends are going with our sweet tracker. Along the way we’ll give you some mental health tips and you’ll also get a chance to fund raise for mental health. How It Works Complete your push-ups any time and any place, as long as you meet the daily target. Each day, the target number of push-ups to complete will reflect a different statistic to do with mental health in Australia. For example, 45 push-ups to recognise the percentage of Australians who will experience a mental health condition over their lifetime. Over the course of 21-days you'll be challenged to complete 3,128 push-ups in total, representing the number of lives lost in Australia due to mental health issues in 2017. Christmas Carols in Queens Park Come on down to the 2018 Carol's in Queen Park in December and enjoy the free entertainment that the Moonee Valley City Council has organised. Travancore and MV Health and Fitness get a mention in The Age It was good to see Travancore and MV Health and Fitness get a mention in an article in The Age today.It mentions the great range of fitness services available in our tiny suburb, and how we are nice and close to the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail bike path which runs alongside the CityLink walls.In the latest census, it only list Travancore with a population of 2480, up from 1700 in 2011 and a tiny 839 in 2006. The article itself focuses on the property and housing in the area and if you have never been down the streets near our Personal Training studio, I do suggest going for a walk or run as some of the houses are beautiful. When you join to be part of Active8 you will be encouraged to increase your physical activity and become better aware of how to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle. There is no charge for taking part in any of the activities so the whole family can join in., There’s no limit to the number of people who can join, so more people will be able to get moving and benefit from this free program.
