We are an approved TAC provider with our clinic located in Melbourne, VIC.


If you are looking for a provider we offer a range of approved treatments and services that TAC clients can access immediately after their accident.


Our TAC approved physical therapies:

To help you recover from your transport accident injuries the TAC will cover the cost of our allied health physical therapies that we have here at Moonee Valley Health and Fitness.


The Traffic Accident Commission (TAC) is a Victorian Government-owned organisation who is there to support you and help you receive the treatment you need as you recover from your accident.


If you have already received a TAC claim number you can start receiving treatment immediately after your transport accident and you do not need to contact the TAC for approval.


Our private rehab clinic and gym is located at 378 Mount Alexander Road, Travancore VIC 3032 with appointments for exercise physiology and physiotherapy available 6 days a week from 5.30am to 8.00pm (by appointment only).


The allied health and physical therapies we currently have at our clinic is Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology.

To help you recover from your transport accident injuries the TAC can cover you for your treatment with our allied health physical therapies. We have Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists in our team that provide proven, evidence-based treatment.

What will an Exercise Physiologist do?


Our exercise physiologist help you by putting together a safe, effective and appropriate exercise program to support your recover from your accident injuries. Often referred to from patients as an 'Exercise Physios' or 'EP's' the are university qualified allied health professionals.


By applying their specialist knowledge of human movement to aid recovery, improve performance we help people get the most out of life.


We play an important role in helping you recover from your transport accident injuries and are healthcare professional who can give you information and advice about exercise to help manage and prevent injuries and chronic conditions.


Clinical Exercise Physiologists are involved in all phases of rehabilitation, from the acute stage through to recovery.

With access to our private gym you will receive an individualised exercise program, be provided counselling on how to maintain an active lifestyle and make sure that your exercise programs is safe, effective and appropriate for you and your recovery.

All our allied health practitioners are accredited and experienced with TAC patients and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation

What you can always expect from your appointments:

  • Conduct appropriate assessments, goal setting in conjunction with your injuries and provide the best treatment to help you acheive  achieve your goals.
  • Provide treatment for injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident to enable our TAC approved patients to resume participation in pre-injury activities that have been restricted by the motor vehicle accident related injuries.
  • Empower you to manage your injury and recovery.
  • Monitor progress towards your goals (for improved capacity/function) and adjusting the treatment plan as required.
  • Communicating and collaborating with key parties (for example, general practitioner, other allied health practitioners, case managers, rehabilitation providers and insurers) to achieve common goals

Helping you return to work after a motor accident


Many people find getting back to work can play a big part in their recovery. We can help you to get back to work as quickly and safely as possible. Allied health services can help you to physically and mentally get used to working again after your accident and our physiotherapists or exercise physiologist can work with you and your employer to help you return to work.


We can help you identify your work goals and find suitable roles that you can physically able to achieve.



Gym Programs and Group Training Programs for our TAC Patients


You may also have a gym or swimming exercise program that is developed and monitored by a member of our health professional team. Patients participating in gym, swimming and pilates programs can be funded by the TAC as part of your rehabilitation. The gym program is written for you to perform independently in our gym or at a local gym / pool in your area to support your rehabilitation.


We also offer clinical pilates with sessions supervisied by one of our physiotherapists.

Our exercise physiologists can help create and monitor a gym or home exercise program for you to complete by yourself.

  • Progress your program to a home exercise program
  • Create self-management strategies to help support your recovery and quality of life

  • Align these rehabilitation goals to you the clients independence goals

How to get started with your treatments and services


Step 1.

After a transport accident TAC can pay for your treatment and services with our Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist. You don't need to contact the TAC first when a health professional recommends these treatments and services for your accident injuries.

Step 2.

We are a healthcare provider of Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy and Dietetics which are services approved by the TAC.

Step 3.

Call our clinic to make an appointment on (03)9996-0790 or fill in our online contact form.

Step 4.

At your initial appointment all you will need to provide our team with your TAC claim number.  There are no out-of-pocket patient fees for our services and all your appointments for treatments related are payed for directly from the TAC.

Step 5.

No Gap Fees. There are no out-of-pocket patient fees for your appointments for the treatments related to your accident.

We are part of your healthcare team

You can get treatment immediately after your transport accident without initial approval from the TAC.

If it’s been more than 6 months since you had any treatment or service paid for by the TAC, you will first need to contact the TAC to find out if they can pay for your treatment.

Speak with your doctor or speak to our team to create your plan. The more complex your health needs, the more interaction you are likely to have with a larger and more diverse team of health professionals. It is important to share information about your medical treatment across the team.
