There are several changes to Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) items which will also effect the Medicare rebates for all allied health services.

From July 1, 2024 the Medicare rebate is $60.34 per session.

This is for rebates under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan. This was formally known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or is often referred to as a GP Care Plan.

Your GP determines whether you are eligible and would benefit from a care plan and Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 appointments per patient each calendar year.

Our Medicare exercise physiology service currently has no-wait list and accepting Medicare CDM and EPC referrals for ex phys appointments.

For more information check out our updated Medicare - Chronic Disease Management Plans or visit the MBS Online - Item 10953 for more details.

You may also be eligible for a Referral for Group Allied Health Services under Medicare for patients with type 2 diabetes.
