Push For Better July 2019
Getting involved in The Push-Up Challenge is super simple.
8 – 28th July 2019
Join your mates and thousands of others in each completing:
3,128 push-ups over 21 days
Keep track of how you and your friends are going with our sweet tracker. Along the way we’ll give you some mental health tips and you’ll also get a chance to fund raise for mental health.
How It Works
Complete your push-ups any time and any place, as long as you meet the daily target.
Each day, the target number of push-ups to complete will reflect a different statistic to do with mental health in Australia.
For example, 45 push-ups to recognise the percentage of Australians who will experience a mental health condition over their lifetime.
Over the course of 21-days you’ll be challenged to complete 3,128 push-ups in total, representing the number of lives lost in Australia due to mental health issues in 2017. Together, we can make a real difference – sign up today and join the push for better mental health!
Funds raised will go to headspace
Supporting Mental Health
There is a strong correlation between exercise and mental health which drives our motto of ‘push for better together’ with The Push-Up Challenge.
Not only will you be getting a work-out but you’ll be learning about mental wellness with our daily practical tips.
You also have the option of fundraising for headspace as part of the event.
Know of someone who is pushing? Be sure to show the love by sponsoring them.
Moonee Valley Health and Fitness and supporting mental health
Our trainers love being part of the Moonee Valley community and we definitely plan to support any mental health initiative. We would also love to see some of the Moonee Valley Health and Fitness members to join us.
Mental health tips are interwoven into the event
A different mental health tip is offered to participants every day.
These tips were practical and grounded in science.
The feedback around these tips in 2018 was overwhelmingly positive.
96% of participants said they learnt something about mental health.
