Bulgarian Jump Squats

Bulgarian Jump Squats - Exercise Library • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. • Hold dumbbells in each hand. • Place one foot on a bench. • Step forward with the other foot. • Take a slightly larger than normal step. • Contract your glutes, brace your abs and keep your spine straight. • Lower your body until your back knee is just off the ground. • Keep your upper body upright and your lower back flat. • Jump using the front foot, and keeping the upright position. • Stay in a split squat stance. • Land in the bottom of a Bulgarian squat and repeat. • Perform all reps for one leg and then switch. Box or Bench Jumps - Exercise Library • Stand in front of a bench or box • Squat down with your legs and jump onto bench or box. • Make sure you land with your legs slightly bent in a mini squat position to reduce impact. • Jump back down and repeat. Dumbbell Speed Squat - Exercise Library • Stand with your feet just greater than shoulder-width apart. • Start the movement at the hip joint. • Push your hips backward • Squat as deep as possible • Push up return to the start position. • Perform each squat as fast possible • Keep your low back arched. • Do NOT round your back.
