Hi, and welcome to The FIT MUMS Physio Program. My name is Amy Laurie and I am a physiotherapist that specialises in Women’s Health, in particular prenatal and postnatal health and wellness.
I am also clinically trained in Pilates and recently became a mum to my daughters Hannah in 2016 and Chloe in 2019.
I teach mums (including soon to be mums) how to strengthen the muscles around their pelvis, back and abdominals through a mix of Pilates and stability exercises to ensure they feel well during pregnancy, birth and beyond.

I am a Mum to my two beautiful daughters Hannah (in 2016) & Chloe (in 2019) and have created my program for women so they can achieve their goals and feel more comfortable in their bodies.
Hi, I'm Amy Laurie, owner of The FIT MUMS Physio Program, an expert in Women's Health and a specialised Physiotherapist with expert knowledge of therapeutic exercise methods for pregnancy and the postnatal mum.
During pregnancy, your body goes through immense changes to accommodate for the life growing inside you. With the changing shape of your body and the added effects of pregnancy hormones, it is very common to experience aches and pains in pregnancy.
The FIT MUMS Physio Program will show you exactly what you need to do and know to keep yourself and your baby safe, strong, and healthy throughout every trimester of pregnancy. You'll never have to wonder if what you’re doing is safe.
There is often a lot of confusion around when to start exercising after the birth of your baby, as well as what type of exercise is okay and at what intensity.
The postnatal period, or approximately the year following delivery is a time where special consideration is required when commencing exercise. There are many situations and conditions that require exercise modification in the early weeks or months following delivery, as every woman will have had a different pregnancy and birthing experience.
The FIT MUMS Physio Program will teach you what you need to do and know to recover from pregnancy and delivery, and keep yourself safe, strong, and healthy as you return to exercise.
My Pre and Postnatal FIT MUMS classes are designed specifically with the pregnant woman and new mother in mind.
I am a Women's Health Physiotherapist that is an expert in prenatal and postnatal fitness and rehab that is not a one-size-fits-all approach.
My classes allow women to stay fit and strong during their pregnancy and assist new mothers to regain their health and fitness following the birth of their baby.
Physiotherapy instructed Clinical Pilates focuses on core stability exercises, pregnancy pilates exercises, pelvic floor strengthening, stretching and mobility exercises to assist the body during pregnancy and labour as well as preparing a women’s body for after the birth.
Our Pregnancy Pilates programs are designed by Physiotherapists and endorsed by Obstetricians with you and your baby in mind.
Our Physiotherapist Amy will guide you through our pregnancy exercises slowly and thoroughly while also providing education on the reasoning behind each exercise to give you the confidence, strength and knowledge on all things related to your pregnancy and baby.
