WorkSafe Exercise Physiology Fee Schedule from 1 July 2025
There are several changes to WorkSafe provider fee schedule which will effect the maximum fees payable across all allied health services.
WorkSafe is legislated to pay reasonable costs for medical and like fees.
WorkSafe will pay up to a maximum amount for the following categories of the service.

Maximum fees listed in this fee schedule are exclusive of GST. If GST is applicable, WorkSafe Victoria will pay the GST component in addition to the maximum fee. Providers should provide a tax invoice where amounts are subject to GST. For queries regarding whether the services you provide to an injured worker are taxable (that is, subject to GST) please contact the Australian Taxation Office and/or your tax advisor.
There is currently no out of pocket expense for our WorkCover Exercise Physiology appointments at Moonee Valley Health and Fitness.
Research by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) shows work is good for health and wellbeing, and long-term absence from work has a negative impact on physical and mental health and wellbeing. Most injured workers return to work quickly, however some require greater support to achieve their recovery goals.
If you have suffered an injury related to your employment and you have lodged and had accepted a WorkCover claim, the WorkCover insurer may help provide treatment to injured workers.
MVFit exercise physiologists provide functional exercise for the purposes of returning an injured worker to suitable work activities. This includes specific exercise therapy related to the worker’s injury and work demands, and/or specific work activities as exercise. All our exercise physiologists are WorkSafe & WorkCover accredited to provide return to work services under Victoria's workplace health and safety regulator.
Referrals can be made directly via the insurer, your treating doctor; or you can also choose to self refer. As a client you have choice of provider and we can assist you to navigate through the process.
